Health Food Store Tour

If you're baffled by all the strange-looking concoctions and items in the health food store, but you want to clean up your diet and begin your natural foods journey, this is the session for you. Isabel will walk you through a large natural foods market, explaining all food categories, helping you select appropriate products, and separating the junk food (yes, it's infiltrated health food stores too!) from health-supportive choices. This one-hour tour is a great appetizer for your cooking session.

Recipe of the Month

July/August: Fresh Pineapple with Sweet Coconut Cream

Pineapple is a cooling fruit with a high water content, making it an ideal treat on steamy summer days. The coconut cream recipe is simple and unbelievably delicious (and it can be made in advance). This dish makes an elegant dessert with minimal effort! Agave nectar is a natural, low–glycemic index sweetener available in natural foods stores.
